Kave is not just a sneaker brand, but a way of thinking. Which allows us to create a new innovative product with the old machines. It is a way to take better care of our environment.
Our world is filled with products that we do not need, but we still produce more and more. This causes problems in society and nature. Most of our products are produced in Asian countries and then transported to Europe. These nonsensical transports of raw materials and products heavily pollute our environment.
The start of a new production requires a lot of energy. There is need of making new shoe lasts, punching knives or the development of new materials. But we have a large number of fully equipped factories with large footwear arches filled with materials that allow us to produce sneakers with minimal ecological burden. So why do we still produce new and new equipment?
KAVE sneakers are made of waste and leftover materials locally in Zlín, on the Baťa machines made in the first half of the last century with the help of existing equipment.
Eva was born in Zlín, Czech Republic. In the city where Tomas Bata built the biggest shoe factory in Europe.
Eva has been designing shoes since she was 15 years old. She learned everything about making shoes while working in one of the companies operating in the Baťa factories area during her studies. When Eva later began to travel the world and work in the footwear industry, she realized, through her manufacturing experience, how big is the gap between meaningless global goods movements and forgotten local production possibilities. And she decided to change it.
Today, Eva combines design and technology to create sustainable, quality footwear and globally changes the production. Despite a number of world achievements, she has not forgotten her native Czech. Through her talent and enthusiasm shows to large and smaller companies, factories and corporations how to set the production differently - better, more conscious, with maximum effort about sustainability and consideration for the planet.
